Ketamine Therapy with Dr. Mark Newman
Dr. Mark W. Newman is board certified by the American Osteopathic Association in both anesthesiology and pain management. He is a fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Anesthesiologists (AOCA). He has been active nationally serving both as past president and on the Board of Governors of the AOCA.
As an anesthesiologist, his extensive use of ketamine allowed him to develop an expertise in use of ketamine for sedation and surgical anesthesia. In 1997 he discontinued the practice of anesthesia to focus solely on pain management. His practice, Tidewater Pain Management, was the first full time interventional pain management practice in Tidewater Virginia. In 2010, Tidewater Pain Management became part of Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group, forming TPMG Pain Management.
In 2012 he began performing outpatient ketamine infusions for patients with CRPS who had not responded well to conventional treatments. The results he has seen with these patients have been nothing short of amazing. These impressive responses to the ketamine infusions convinced Dr. Newman to expand his practice and create Virginia Ketamine Therapy. This practice is focused on pursuing treatment for CRPS, PTSD, Fibromyalgia, Lyme Disease, Depression, and other disease states that may benefit from ketamine infusions.
The Virginia Ketamine Therapy clinic is located in Williamsburg, Virginia.
